The Blessed Luna's Saviors

Fifteen years earlier "It's time." Alpha James Winter said to his mate and Luna Grace. James looked at his warrior who was entrusted in making sure his daughter Reagan got safely to her destination. Being the only daughter of a pure blood Alpha bloodline, Reagan was already well advanced with her strength and her intelligence, despite only being seven years old. She was also beautiful, she had unique eyes, one was emerald green with a turquoise ring surrounding the green. Her other eye was sapphire blue with a clear ice blue ring that almost melted into the darker blue. She had beautiful, mid length brown hair that had blond highlights that most people spent hundreds of dollars at the salon trying to achieve, with a perfectly shaped face. Alpha James and Luna Grace were proud of their daughter, beyond her looks, intelligence and strength, she was extremely kind and empathetic. She instantly put those around her at ease and she was kind to everyone she met, regardless of their rank. All of this made her a valuable asset to any pack, despite her age. James and Grace were the leaders of one of the most powerful packs in the world, and their power was something everyone wanted, and they knew that Reagan would be used against them. James own brother, Felix, was one that sought the power his brother had. He had always been jealous of James, despite the fact that he was the Alpha of his own pack, but it wasn't as large as James, nor was it anywhere as powerful. His fated mate was of warrior blood, and he always resented the fact that his brother had gotten a mate of Alpha blood. James and Felix had grown up around Grace, and Felix had always been in love with Grace. He wanted her as a mate, because he knew that she could produce him a strong heir and he thought with her by his side, his father would turn over the pack to him, not James. James was two years older, he trained harder, worked harder in school and was kinder than Felix, he never let his status as the son of Alpha give him a big head. Felix on the other hand, used his status as a future Alpha against those he deemed below him. When he found out that James and Grace were mated he was furious. He was even angrier when he found out that his mate was just a warrior. He rejected her, but not before sleeping with her. Once he used her to his advantage he rejected her, and set his sights on the Alpha of his true mates packs daughter. They took each other as chosen mates and he became Alpha of her pack. She was just as vain and shallow as Felix, and the pack was no where near as strong, rich or powerful as James pack, but at least Felix was an Alpha. Felix had been coming around to his brothers pack and had been threatening to take Reagan as a chosen mate. He didn't care if it was his niece, he wanted nothing more than the power she possessed. Besides, Reagan was also part Grace, but Grace was used goods compared to the sweet innocence of Reagan. He was the reason that James and Grace had decided it was necessary to hide Reagan. Felix was making more and more threats, and James knew he was working with rogues to try and become powerful enough to take over his brothers pack. Felix had shown up unannounced to the Full Moon Pack, threatening to take Reagan away and breed her. Not caring that she was just a child, the only reason he hadn't taken her yet was because she was still a young child and Felix hated kids. They were annoying and obnoxious, and he knew his pack would frown on him if he mated the girl while she was still young. But he wanted to the girl. He needed the girl, more than anything. He wanted to the power that could gain from the heir she would produce, it was what he deserved. James and Grace had prepared for the day that they may have to send Reagan to safety. Grace had a sister who was the Luna of a pack on the otherside of the country. She had promised to keep Reagan safe, training Reagan until she was old enough to meet her mates who would keep her safe. Lacey was thrilled to have Reagan as she wasn't able to have children and her niece was a wonderful girl. Her and her mate, were thrilled to be able to help James and Grace and they had promised to take good care of their little girl. Reagan knew this day was coming, her parents had prepared her, and she knew not to cry. Her aunt Lacey and her mate Alpha Paul, were kind people and she knew they'd do what they could to keep her safe from Felix and her other enemies. The warrior bowed his head, pleased that he had been selected to escort the future Alpha to her aunts. James had wanted to send his Beta or Gamma, but knew Felix would become suspicious if he saw them leaving the pack for an extended period of time, so he had to choose warriors. His warriors were well respected and trustworthy. Or so he thought. Even the best laid plans can go sideways when greed is involved. The warrior knew that James and Grace were sending Reagan with enough money that her aunt wouldn't have to worry about her care. It wasn't that they couldn't afford to care for the girl, but James and Grace wanted to make sure their daughter was cared for themselves. One of the warriors had an ex-girlfriend of a small pack that was half way to Reagan's aunts pack. He had reached out to her with the intent of selling the girl to his ex, she was a Luna, her husband was her chosen mate, an older man, who was a bit clueless as to his wife indescretions. The warriors, arranged for the girl to go with Janice, in exchange for some of the money, with Reagans power they knew Janice could sell her at a later date back to James and Grace, and make a killing. The warrior figured that Janice would give enough care to the girl until she was old enough to sell, but he wasn't aware of the hell he was subjecting Reagan too. "Is this the child?" Janice said sneering at the small girl who was standing next to the warrior at the border of the pack. The warrior nodded his head. "She doesn't look like much, not sure why anyone would want her. Anyway. A deal is a deal." She went on grabbing the small girl by the hand, leading her down to the dungeon, where she would be kept out of prying eyes of other pack members.
