I had enough of this marriage. I stormed out of his office and headed upstairs. I opened the bedroom door then slammed it shut behind me. I walked over to the bed and threw myself down ontop of it. Tears were streaming down my face. I couldn't take anymore the hurt, the betrayal, and the disrespect. Thank god my children were at school, I didn't want them to witness the argument between me and their father. Let me introduce myself. My name is Sydnee but my friends and family call my Syd. I am 24 years old and I am mated to an Alpha. Alpha Clay Harris of the Deep Shadow Pack. I have been married to Clay now for 4 Years. It has been one rough and toxic marriage. But out of this marriage I have had 2 beautiful children. Jay and Gemma they are twins and aged 5 years old. My mother passed away when I was 18 years Old. That is why I left my home in Montana to start a fresh and have some time away in England. It was hard at first leaving my Dad behind knowing he had not long lost my mum, but we were beginning to be at each other's throats so It was best we had a break. I laid on the bed recalling some of the past 5years. I mean it never used to be like this. When I first met Clay it was at a night club. It was probably around 7 months after I had moved to England. I found a Flat and a job, I was settling in and finding I actually loved being on my own. My best friend Debbie (Debs for short) was a work colleague and we became inseperable, well until she met her boyfriend. Debbie knew why I had moved here she lso knew about my mum passing away. Debbie became my rock she helped me so much coming to terms with my grief. Anyway tonight we are heading to the club in town. Debbie told me we were meeting her boyfriend Jason and some of his friends there. At 8.00pm we headed to the club. We had arrived around 45 minutes later and once we got in we headed for the bar. I ordered me and Debbie a drink and we sat at the bar waiting for Jason and his friends to arrive. We were on our 3rd drink when someone shouted Debbie's name, we both turned around and that when I just stared at this most handsome man I have ever met. He was tall at least 6ft 4 and he was built like a house. He wore tight black jeans with a white T-shirt. The sleeves were straining against his muscles, I swear if he tensed his arms the sleeves would rip. Seriously I think god took his time shaping this guy. Everything started drifting away everything and anything just faded into nothing, it was just me and him, eyes locked and nothing else mattered. He walked towards me in a couple of strides, he grabbed me by my waist and pulled me to him. He then said the one word I never thought I would ever hear. MATE! He lowered his face towards me and gently placed a kiss on my lips. I felt calm and safe and it felt like I was made for him. He reached over took my drink and lead us to a table. Debbie and Jason followed us and sat down. For the rest of the evening we just talked. We had a couple of dances and it was if we were in our own world. That night after the club was winding down Clay asked me if I wanted to go back to his Pack. I agreed and we headed off after I told Debbie I would call her the next day. We hugged goodbye and I walked to Clays car. We took a detour and Clay took me to the top of the mountain to see the town below, it looked beautiful the stars were out in full and the moon was at it's highest. We had a bit of a make out session under the stars then Clay said we needed to go. That night Clay claimed me, I was a virgin and I was shy when I told him. he was so gentle with me and he took care of me. But he didn't mark me. He never told me why he never marked me. The following morning when I woke I looked over and Clay was still laying beside me. I needed to get up to use the bathroom. After I had done my business I went back and sat on the bed. By this time Clay was awake but just laying there. I told him I needed to get some clean clothes. He drove me back to my flat after we had breakfast. On the way to my flat he told me he would like me to move in. I mean I knew how things worked with mates so I packed up a bag and went back with Clay to the pack. When Clay introduced me to the pack, alot of pack members were excited and was cheering. there were some that looked jealous and disgusted giving me filthy looks. Over a few days I had met the higher rank members 2 of the elders and the omegas that looked after the pack house. Everyone in the pack house treated me with respect and I respected them. It was a group of 4 women that was the problem to me, always sneering and talking loudly about how pathetic and how useless I was. Talking about how they had slept with Clay. Well one of them did more than the others. I had found out from 1 of the omegas that the loud one named Sophie was infact Clays girlfriend up to he met me. Obviously she was not happy. Sophie would come to the pack house on a daily basis and do what she could to cause problems. She would bump into me then fall down and fake cry till Clay would come out of his office. He would always take her side, telling me to stop being childish and to leave her alone. He would remind me that he had broken up with her the night he met me, infact they were engaged to get married in the summer. So obviously she would be upset and jealous. This was a problem that was going to get on my last nerve. Now dont get me wrong i am no push over I will stand up to anyone and I will fight if I have to. I do have a tongue on me and my dad always said I had no filter. So to save any arguements I tried to avoid her as much as I could. Unfortunately for me she always seemed to find me. From there on in it got worse over time. I can recall when I found out we were pregnant, what should of been a very exciting time for us both, Sophie had pulled one of her stunts in the kitchen of the pack house. As I said she always seemed to seek me out. We had just got back from verifying my pregnancy, we were looking at the sonogram picture of our little bean. I told Clay I needed to get a drink from the kitchen he headed to his office he was happy and smiling away. As I went into the kitchen Sophie followed me inside. My stomach fell as I was wondering what trick was she going to pull today. I got myself a drink of water and she came over and grabbed the glass, she then jerked the glass towards her and it spilled all over her. She screamed and Clay came running as usual.
