With a thud she landed on the stone floor inside the basement of what she use to call her home, looking up she saw the people she once loved and called her parents, now she didn’t know who they were. I watched from the corner trying my hardest not to look away. She cried wondering why I hadn’t stopped them I guessed. Throwing her head away from his gaze he scoffed, “Until we found out you were destined mates with our precious breeder. “ … That’s what I was, the packs breeder, I was paired with many females, none of them my mate, and bred for my good looks and great athleticism. One day me and her locked eyes and I couldn’t catch myself before we both said ‘Mate…’ at the same time. That was when my next paired female grabbed her by the hair and told her parents, and her parents told my mates parents, and now we are here. “Mother, please! “She continues to her as her emerald gaze locked with her mother’s. Her mother’s eyes were full of regret but had a stronger look to them, rage. “Please… “She said once more taking advantage of the regretful look that was clinging behind the rage in her mother’s gaze. Her mother looked away from her crumbled and bruised daughter as her mate once again lifted her, but this time her threw her into the shelf and led his mate out of the basement. Hearing my mate crying like a Alpha who’s spirit has been broken, broke my heart more then I could ever tell anyone. I took a step forward to the door knowing well I was going to be called soon to breed with that arrogant female, until I heard a whisper behind me that made my feet freeze to the floor. “Mate, why did you stand and watch.. “She whined as she curled her legs to her side. I gulped in the air I didn’t even know I was holding. I turned to her but she wasn’t looking at me, but the scratches and bruised that bled from her legs. I growled and raced back down the stairs to my mate, ignoring the calls of that insolent female upstairs for me to hurry up and mate her. I hugged my mate as hard as I could and she let out a hard wail of relief. She smelled like chocolate and mint, her skin was as soft as silk, and she was warm, very, very warm. “I am here mate, I will never reject you, I am here, do not cry anymore, please! “I begged as I squeezed her harder, she kept nodding her head and burying her head into my neck. There were footsteps from the stairs and I looked away from my precious mate to see that darn female staring back at me with disgust. “Leave her and come upstairs. I’m in need of some mating and I can’t believe you’ll leave me waiting just for this.. absurd female.. you could do so much better with me. “She snorted, and that was enough for me to growl at her pathetic figure. “I will no longer be this packs breeder, I will now only mate with one female, and that is MY mate! “I said tensing up my muscles to make me intimidating to the female. My mate had a small growl come out of her throat, there was so much power behind it the female whined and turned tail walking back up the stairs and left me and my mate alone again. Her growl even sent my wolf Seth into a submissive state, he was whining in the back of my head. “I am sorry, I didn’t meant to let my temper slip.. “Harper said softly in her sweet angelic voice. Scooping her up I kissed her head, “You never have to apologize again. “I told her as I took her up the stairs. The next morning was a living hell. I had to hear the Alpha scorn me for hours just because I quit being their breeder because of their daughter. “Alpha honestly, don’t you want strong genes such as mine and her Alpha blood inside of your future grandchildren? To carry on the title of ‘The Strongest Pack In The Whole Country?’ “I sighed starting at the Alpha who’s eyes were already shifting grey to match his wolf’s eyes. He growled and I tried my hardest not to flinch away and submit. “We need your genes inside all of the pack! “He growled. I dared to take a step forward as I slightly looked up to meet his eyes, “Soon there will be no females for me to breed with, everyone pup in this f*****g pack will be of my blood, there will be no room for anyone to breed without incest. “I said hotly as I tried to maintain my composure. The Alpha froze for a moment as if he knew that I was right, he grunted and turned around before saying, “Fine we will go back to the old ways.. but I still don’t agree with that judgment of yours. My mate won’t be happy about this, you know what she’ll do just to get her way! “The Alpha warned before descending the stairs down to the first floor.
