PROLOGUE
George gasped and came to a sudden halt, he looked up at the burning house right in front of him, he turned back to see if he had missed the way, he wasn't sure if he was seeing right, but yes he was.
It was Emily's house that was right in his front, her parent's house was right in his front, and it was on fire.
He looked to the side and saw people gathering up, wailing and shouting at the burning house. It can't be.
He staggered back but he was able to find his balance soon enough, his head was so heavy.
Was Emily in there?, was she inside the house which was on the fire?.
His head made a loud sound as he thought about that, he dragged his feet to the people by his side, "Can...can you tell me what is going on here?," he asked.
No one knew him, they weren't aware that he was from the royal family, "Are you blind?," one of them shouted, "Can't you see that the house is on fire?," the man barked.
"Oh my goodness," another woman amongst them murmured, "What should we do?, how do we save the whole family?," she asked.
"The whole family?," George asked with his eyes widely opened, "You..you mean the whole family is in there?," he asked, "With... with Emily?, Emily is...is in there?," he stuttered.
"You heard me right young man," the woman shouted and his head made a loud noise again, Emily was in there, inside the house which was on fire.
"No," George murmured as tears tickled down his eyes, "This can't be, Emily can't be in there," he added as he began to walk to the house, he was so confused, maybe he could just go in there and bring his love out of the house.
Maybe he could get a chance to go into the house and bring out the woman he loved, he wished he could get a power which will turn back the hands of the clock, then he would have taken Emily along with him.
"We can't allow him to go in there," one man said amongst the people, referring to George, "We shouldn't let him go in there," he added and rushed towards George and another man followed him.
"Let me go," George shouted as he held out a loud cry, he was at fault, he was to be blamed for everything that was happening.
Emily asked to follow him, but he didn't listen, he told her to stay back, he made her go back into the house, and now the house was on fire with Emily in there.
He should have allowed her to follow him, maybe she wouldn't have gone into the house, she would have stayed with him and she wouldn't be in that fire.
He didn't get to hear what she wanted to say to him, he also didn't get to tell her what he was going to say.
He had hidden the truth that he loved her, he was planning to tell how her he felt about her, he wanted to give her the ring he had been keeping carefully, but there was no chance for him to do that again.
Was Emily dead?, the thought of that made him cry out loud, "Emily," George shouted.
