Beyond The Pages

In this work, "Beyond the Pages," the author opens up the diary of a young girl named Abigail. Living with her father and stepmother, she struggles to find her place in this blended family and, most importantly, in this world. She creates a mental escape called maladaptive daydreaming, until the day she meets a confidant. An ear that could help her feel less alone, a diary. However, a diary with its first pages torn out, reminding Abigail of the state of her heart since her mother's unfortunate disappearance. These blank pages then become a means for her to express her anger towards God and the sense of injustice that strangles her soul daily.
