To Save Them All

“Thea, Thea” I heard Scarlett calling me from the hall. I walked through to see her wrestling with the twins. “Oh thank goodness you are here. I don’t know what I would do without you. Are you sure you are okay to miss the ceremony?” It was our friend Luke’s alpha ceremony tonight. We had all been invited, I really wanted to go but Jackson had to go and Scarlett didn’t want to leave their twin pups. I had walked into them fighting about this yesterday so I offered stay. Growing up together as Oliver was one of Iris’s brother’s best friends they had what could definitely be called a love/hate relationship. I was so happy for Iris though. He had wiped out her entire family trying to take her. I had had many sleepless nights worrying about Iris trying to reject her mate. We were not meant to reject our fated mates, many of those that had tried had not survived. I was desperate to see the pair of them too and I knew they would also be there. I signed in resignation that I would be staying at Sliver Oak. My brother Jackson is heir to our pack. Scarlett was his lovely mate and mother to these to monsters. Whom I loved dearly. I had always wanted pups but these two made me desperate to meet my mate so I could get started. I hadn’t been that 18 long, and because of all the attacks and drama recently I hadn’t had much of a chance to meet my mate. I knew he wasn’t in this pack or Blue Moon’s as I spent my birthday there. Dad had had another proposition sent in this morning, asking to take me as a chosen Luna. Thankfully my family were big believers in fated mates. I was always told of the propositions but there was no pressure for me to entertain the idea of being someone chosen luna. After pretty much shoving them out the door I got the twins down to sleep. While my wolf was a silvery grey colour I wasn’t a gifted wolf or a strong warrior but as I looked at my sleeping niece and nephew I knew I needed to be able to protect them. I linked Patrick, one of Jackson ranked wolves, and asked him to meet me in Jackson’s office. Ever obliging, he was there immediately. “I want to start some serious training. I’m not aspiring to become Iris but I could do with being a bit better. So can I start training with you first.” I batted my eyelashes at Patrick, watching him squirm as he tried to refuse me. My whole life had been a trial to produce the perfect luna. With Iris the rebellious tomboy I had been the real princess. It was surprising we were friends as we were so different. It had always been expected I would be luna to one of the other packs but when Iris’s brothers were all killed and Oliver didn’t turn out to be my mate I wondered if fate had something else in store for me. Once Patrick agreed to train me a little I decided to go for a run. My wolf Rupa was dying to get out. After hours of running she was much happier. She was a beautiful little wolf, grey in colour, often looking silver in the moonlight. Resting my the lake for a moment I glanced at her reflection in the water. “What will mate look like?” She asked me. “Perfect Rupa, you will love him whatever. I imagine he will be a very sexy wolf, nothing else would do for you.” My wolf counterpart was not as reserved as myself. I had a feeling she might get me into trouble in the future. I knew I better head back, the pups were little and still woke in the night, mum would struggle if both woke up. Everything appeared quiet tonight, far too frequently I had the feeling of being watched, which ridiculous as we were one of the strongest packs around and had been extra tight with security lately. Jackson I was glad Thea offered to babysit. I couldn’t miss Luke’s ceremony and I had spent far too much time away from my mate recently. I watched her sleep on the journey home and I couldn’t help but admire how beautiful she was. Her figure was softer after having the twins, I think I loved it even more. Naturally she has been self conscious of her body but I think I had managed to worship it enough that she was beginning to love it too. I shivered in anticipation of this evening, as we would be home late Thea was keeping the pups till morning. I was looking forward to an evening of Scarlett to myself. Scarlett was desperate to leave the party as soon as the ceremony was finished. Once home I carried my sleeping mate up to bed. After I undressed I commenced operation wake up. Blowing gently on her mark I could see her start to stir. Next I stated to kiss and nip her mark and her eyes flew open. “We’re home ?” She asked sleepily. “Yes darling, and we have a night all to ourselves.” Scarlett sat up. “I need to check the…” “Our pups are sleeping, I’ve checked now come here before I have to punish you for keeping me waiting.” Her eyes dilated at the thought, turns out my sweet and innocent mate was a demon in the bedroom. Standing up she slowly pulled down the straps of her dress until she was standing in only her panties.
