Mr. CEO - You're Dumped Chapter One Elizabeth’s P.O.V I got home few hours after leaving the hospital to have my bath and breakfast before returning to look after Richard but his mom didn’t quite make things easy for me when I got home. “What are you doing here? And who is looking after my son?” She asked angrily as she approached me. “Good morning Mum”  “I am not your mother you worthless child now answer my question. Who is looking after my son?” her eyes narrowed as she watched my every move closely waiting for me slip. I wasn’t really in the mood for a petit fight with my supposed to be mother in-law so I ignored her bickering and went straight to me and Richards’s room to have my bath. “What a way to start your new week” I sighed as I fell on the bed with my skin uncovered after taking my bath. I quickly scanned through my wardrobe and decided that it was high time I dressed like a wife and not some house help that Richard and his mom hired to take care of their every need. I put on a red cocktail dress and took my time admiring my body on the mirror like a princess out of a fairytale when the voice of my mother in-law brought me back into reality. “Elizabeth! Elizabeth!! You get down here right now and go stay with my son” she yelled from the living room and once more, I didn’t bother to answer her. I was about leaving when I heard my phone beep and I picked it up only to see a message from an familiar number which I didn’t bother saving on my phone and it turned out to be Lillian; Richard’s ex-girlfriend and she was asking me to leave Richard. I got annoyed and decided to daily the number and she picked up the call without hesitation. “What in the world is wrong with you?” I asked her rudely over the phone but she seemed not to care as she giggled over the phone before saying a word. “Richard isn’t yours Elizabeth. How many times do I have to tell you” she said  “And what gives you the effrontery to say that?” I shot back at her over the phone but that seemed to make her giggle all the more  “Why don’t you come on down to the hospital and find out what I mean with your own eyes”  She ended the call abruptly and my mind began racing around the possibility of what might be happening. “Richard loves me!” I whispered to myself hoping it would give the slightest spark of hope but I was still prepared for the worst. “Elizabeth! If I call you down here one more time, I’ll make sure I kill you before Richard even gets discharged from the hospital” came my mother-in-laws voice once more and I knew that she very serious with her threat this time around. I quickly dashed down to the living and made out for the doorway before she could say anything and flagged down a taxi heading for the hospital. I got to the reception room and went straight to the nurse to clear myself in. “Richard Lim please” “I’m sorry ma’am but Mr. Richard Lim already has a visitor inside his room and hospital policy allows only visitor a time” the nurse mumbled as she stared at me with a worried look on her face. “I’m the patients’ wife. I should be in there when anyone is because if anything happens to my husband God so help, I’ll have you arrested” The nurse gulped at the sound of my voice and gave me a clearance to his room and I walked hurriedly to his room unsure of what was waiting for me. I got to the door of the Richard’s hospital and reached out to the door knob but I was hesitant to open the door for a while so I took a deep breath, squared my shoulders and pushed the door open without knocking only to behold the sight of Lillian all over my husband as they kissed and enjoyed the comfort of each other’s skin. “Why you shameless Woman” I yelled as I rushed to her side and yanked her by the hair and pulling her off Richard’s body but she slapped in the process. I dropped the bag which I was carrying facing Lillian head on as I wanted to retaliate for what she did but Richard surprisingly jumped in front of the both of us defending Lillian. “Enough of this Elizabeth; don’t you have any shame left as a woman. Why do you choose to humiliate yourself at every given opportunity?” Richard frowned as he pulled Lillian into an embrace. “You are my husband Richard and I’m doing what every woman would do if they saw their husband making out with his ex-girlfriend on a hospital bed” I yelled back doing my best to fight the urge to kick Richard right at his nuts and possibly thrown Lillian out of his room. “You call this a marriage? You only agreed to marry me because of the money I offered so don’t go acting now you actually care about you cheap w***e!” My face paled at the words which I had just heard Richard use on me.  “That’s what you’ve always thought of me isn’t it? A w***e?” I asked with a frown on face as Richard kept consoling Lillian right in front of me and I remembered the very first time I had gotten a call from Lillian.  Richard took the phone from me and right in front of me, he promised her that he would divorce me when the time was right and with what had just happened, I couldn’t but think the time was finally right to put this filthy relationship behind me. “That’s not what I think of… that my dear wife is what you truly are and we both know it”  I was meant to be angry at him. I was meant to be mad at his words but somehow, I managed to find myself smiling and it seemed to scare him a bit. “You win. I’ve had enough of your childish and ill-mannered behavior. We’re done Richard. I’m done with this marriage; it’s basically a losing game anyways”    I picked up my bag from the floor and headed for the door.  A part of me felt relieved that I didn’t have to put up with Richard and his mother anymore and a part of me felt downcast for not achieving my mission and major reason for marrying that worthless scumbag.
