The Human in Me

CHAPTER 1: The Arrival Lily’s POV:                    The long journey of 6 months to our new planet home Marsa was finally coming to an end and I was still just as much in shock as I was excited. The shock comes from not feeling worthy enough to be a part of this crew. I really need to give myself the credit I deserve. At least I know I have made my parents proud. Man did they cry their eyes out as their only baby was off to live in space. My thoughts only became nervous or scared when the head astronaut Commander William White, who was a veteran astronaut, began to look at me in a way that made my body react without my knowledge or consent really but I couldn’t help it. We only talk briefly. I do not want to mess this up “maybe it’s from being in the ship for months.” I lied in to myself. Once we are on Marsa I can focus on work and these wild thoughts will go away or so I thought. “Lily could you start transmitting the S.V. (space vehicle) system current code” asked Halie, who was a research specialist as well as a chemist. “Of course” I quickly started going at my keyboard.                      Life on the ship wasn’t horrible it was actually peaceful kind of, I don’t know. I did miss the land a little haha. Everyone onboard is smart, cool, and so far kind in their own way. The quietest crew member so far was Abel. He hasn’t been talkative at all but he doesn’t mind us ladies joining him in meditation and yoga. There are 10 of us total. Let me see I got this: Commander Pilot Mr. William White several gold pins, expert in chemistry and biology Payload Commander Mr. Fernando Frances famous architect / engineer of space vehicle Mission Specialist Pilot Mr. Sebastian Rubi expert architect Mission Specialist Ms. Yazmin Morgan avionic expert Science Pilot Ms. Zenida Elliot biology and chemistry expert Science Pilot Ms. Halie Michaels Chemistry and Agriculture expert Science pilot Dr. Bengi Daca research specialist in medicine Science pilot Dr. Julian “yak”  Moon that’s how he introduced himself I don’t know but he is a doctor as well on board and on the mission for our wellbeing and safe keeping as well as to conduct research. Mission specialist pilot Mr. Abel Amara who is an expert geologist and is probably the oldest of the group in his early 50s And finally me Science pilot Lilith James botany, biology and chemistry expert  I try not to be such a nerd but I love planet earth so much and watching my seeds grow in record time is what I live to do. The whole crew is ready for this new beginning.   ………..                  A plus side, besides riding at god speed through space, were the swimming and hiking stimulations the International Center of Energy custom built on the ship were honestly one neat creation and my favorite pass time if any free time presented itself. You punch in where you want to visit, pop on the goggles and boom you are walking through the Grand Canyon or swimming in a lake in Bali. The pool is a steady stream that allows you to keep swimming and the trails are just a treadmill that bends and moves accordingly. Like I said neat creation. The ship itself was amazing technology I never knew about before signing on to be a part of this program.                  At 27 I'd only been in 1 serious relationship that ended over text years ago and even though I thought I was in love that was obviously not the case. I do not know what love is and I’ve only been with three guys sexually and I care to keep it that way until way after I get back to earth. What type of s**t am I making up in my head? I need to focus on what we all set out to do. I really did sign my life away to space gosh darn it! It’s incredible to be a part of history...  Putting down the first roots on a planet we will all soon make the transition of living on. Was I like a founding mother or something? I smile at myself.                  I am never getting off this cloud high well maybe I guess in less than 24 hours. We should be arriving at our destination planet by tomorrow according to our calculations "What will I feel when we are there?" my thoughts really were eating me up it’s a good thing I made a friend in training. Zenida Elliot only two years older than I am and is an amazing scientist who specialized in chemistry, her thing was designing testing and improving our oxygen after our buildings go up and within our space suits for the most part she says we will be able to adapt to the air quality in Marsa once we “air purify.”              “You are lost in your thoughts this evening ma’am” she smiled at me. “If you’d like we can go for a dive in the pool and just go to my house pool tonight hahaha” she laughed so pretty. “You know I think that is a nice idea” I replied laughing with her. “So what’s up?” she asked as I feed the computer the space vehicles live transmitted information. “I am honestly afraid to say” I said as I laughed.                 “Ladies? Care if I join in on the jokes?” I cool tone voice came up from behind us. “Commander White we have transmitted the download onto the DSN (deep space network) to send back as soon as its upload is complete. 75% uploaded sir.” Zenida identified. “Very well science pilot Elliot” he replied. “Fernando actually needs to correlate with you about the air conditioning system layouts you have mapped out for the main offices we will be starting out in. Go ahead and go to him and ill finish the upload here” he waited. I froze.   ................... William's POV:                 Lilith James was even more beautiful than her file picture gave her credit for. She was one of the youngest astronauts I have ever had on my team and it’s definitely been a distraction the past few months floating through space with her. She is a beauty, I had heard of her work back in Texas and although our training was completely separate I had high expectations of her being an asset to the crew. “How is your workload this evening Pilot James?” I let out.                  I really was thinking with the wrong head here, I don’t understand it I had had plenty of women back home before this trip and I’ve never been tempted before. It’s annoying to my profession but exciting at the same time I had her out here thousands of miles away who on earth could stop me from pursuing what I was throbbing for.                  “I am actually feeling relaxed with my work so far today no asteroid scares!” she smiled. She is so f*****g beautiful. “I’m glad” I smiled back. Her file was spotless to me and I have over 20 years of space work experience starting off when I was fresh out of college.                      I went to the moon at 30 years old along with Fern who is my best friend and travel buddy both on earth and out of it. He was an amazing inventor and architect, most of his designs made the cut to be assembled as our official International Center of Energy offices, our living facilities as well as this space vehicle. We were 42 years young enjoying our lives, single as hell. I’m not looking to get married but I feel as if Lilith is not just another s****l conquer for me something about her personality fascinates me.                  Pilot Elliot returned for her binders and I take them from her “I’ll take it from here Pilot Elliot I appreciate both of your work” and I walked back to my station to complete my assignments. She was distracting me.             Once at my Command station I dropped in my seat, slamming the binders. Fern gave me side eye. “What is wrong whitey??” he smirked. “Oh f**k off man stop calling me that” I groaned at him. “Your dad calls you that all the time!” he exclaimed. “Yeah well that’s my dad are you my dad? No. shut it assholes I’m not in the mood” I said. “Oh you’re so hard put your head set on and respond to command like that” he was smirking again. “Just chill man I don’t need our crew members calling me a family nickname that you only know of because you invited yourself to my house for summer break after freshman college year” I explained. “Hahaha I love that story, the start of the bromance man but okay I got you ‘Commander White’” he said sarcastically.                  “I appreciate you fern now let’s get these layouts correlating with your building plans” we got right to work. One thing about this fucker is that he gets his stuff done and we do curse a lot I think it comes from always being so proper and then we got older and girls asked us to do the freakiest of s**t and out came the freaks in us. I’ve never done anything inappropriate during my time in space but then again my missions never went past 6 months and here I am lusting over a girl I have no business doing things with. I keep thinking about how I want too. I need to do something about it.    …………..     Lily’s POV:             What the heck was that? “I’m glad” then he leaves? I was confused but at the same time what did I expect for him to sit next to me all night? He just walked away and didn’t say anything but I just have to stay calm it isn’t my place to be bothered. Damn you woman hormones. “What did you talk about?” Zenida interrupted my thought process which was trash. “Honestly nothing, he asked how my workload today was. I said something dumb about asteroids and he said ‘I’m glad’”          I just put my head down and looked at my overgrown finger nails. “I think he likes you and he obviously can’t come right out and say it being the head astronaut and leader of the crew. Isn’t he like early 40s girl? He is handsome no doubt” Zenida winked finally. It took me a second but then I blurted out my truth “I feel like maybe he wants to have s*x with me and I’m terrified the feeling is mutual” I explained in my low voice me and Zenida were close in work stations since the beginning for obvious reasons. She was my comrade! “Lady you better revise that feeling because that could mean serious jail time” she gasped lowly. “Trust me I know” i replied.   ………..   Williams POV: *Intercom Speaker* The night had came and gone i hardly slept thinking about the ascending this morning. Fern and I were set up nice together with our i.c.e. friends back on earth we started pinpointing a close proximity to the site where all our equipment and work would be for the next few months. We could be up here for one year or longer just depends.             Listen up fellow pilots this is your Commander William White please fast prepare as we get ready to ascend onto planet Marsa in less than one hour as we start paving the way for the future" …………….                 “Are you set for landing, did you test your oxygen levels in your helmet?” I asked Lilith who was in her bunker packing away her things and securing other items.         “I’m all set Commander White” she said blankly. “Look I want you to know that I don’t believe in not following the rules and I’m sorry if you feel like I’m a weird ass” she laughed. “I don’t think that but I am confused” she replied. “What do you want from me William?” I couldn’t function for a second I like how she says my name and something about being in the middle of the galaxy with this arousing woman was so tempting and I wanted to help myself to her “I want a few things” I said slowly inching my body towards hers “maybe a few of these” I planted a kiss on her lips too deep I almost didn’t stop. …. Lily’s POV:             He kissed me so lovely but then quickly exited my bunker. I was so disappointed I wanted more and I hated myself letting my body respond, this is wrong he is my Commander and we could be caught and our careers over. Why did I get myself into this? So much for “I don’t believe in not following the rules” who did he think he was? Next time he tried something I have to reject him and not allow any of this to go any further.          Zenida rushed into my bunker “Girl what was the commander doing in here?” half excited half terrified. “Ok do not freak out but something did happened” I explained. “He came in using that small talk he always does and I simply asked him what he wanted from me” she waited in suspense. I smirked at the actual thought “He said ‘I want a few things’ and then he kissed me. Zen the way he kissed though he is so sexy and it bothers me that now he left me wanting more” I admitted truthfully. “I feel ashamed. We will get caught first by the rest of the crew then i.c.e. back home and I don’t want to be kicked out indefinitely from the space programs of the future. This is something I never imagined would happen for me personally and now that I have it I don’t want to f**k it all away because I was horny for a man.” I groaned and finished storing away my things.              Zenida just stood there. “Well?? Any of that sound advice? Amiga?” I froze that she was about to go off on how badly I was messing this all up. Give me my truth Zen “Lily! Please take some good deep breathes and listen to me. You can reject this hot piece of ass of a man or you can just give in to what you both are obviously feeling and maybe that will be the end of this” she concluded. I was in shock or something “are you kidding me?? I said sound advice not get me fired and fined.” I laughed because I really felt like I was in a bad dream when the intercom came back on instructing all pilots to take their seats buckle up and get ready to ascend. ………                          We are not in a dream and this is real life. I hope I can get it together and that William and I can keep our distance to a work friendly level. How close his body was to mine during our kiss made me blush. He is a solid 5’11” tall man of all muscle, for being an older man he really didn’t look much older than 35 but I don’t know his age. Maybe I should ask him? Would he ever share those types of details with me? Oh my goodness, Lilith stop it! Zenida, Halie, Yaz, and I made our way down to the command station pit which was honestly roomy and comfortable. The remaining four crew members make their way in next where Fernando and William were already punching instructions for the space vehicles direction.                  We could see brightness coming from out of the windows. I could feel the energy changing all around us. Could this be the gravity I have not felt in months? We each have our own unique task to report back while we prepare for our landing. I think we were all getting anxious every one of us could hear our ear pieces say back that we were all clear to precede my stomach was literally in my asshole. We are really landing right here right now on a planet we are not from, but we will be giving it life. I look over at Zenida and she has this look of excitement yet panic haha this girl is really scared? I smirked her way and she flashed me that huge smile “HERE. WE. GO!!” She mouthed over. This is it. I can’t believe it we are finally arriving and I felt a rush through my body. I could feel a force greater than any test I could’ve done back home.                  It continued for a few seconds but I can’t say for sure it eventually I felt the pull back and we all noticeably relaxed. We were listening to the center of energy as they gave the go ahead to go ahead and suit up. We still had to wait about 45 minutes so the ship can give us additional information about our current surroundings. Its legs absorb the dirt or ground we were currently on and it would be run through our database to best describe to us what we are dealing with.              “Zenida here are the reports for ready for upload.” I handed over the hard drive. Which she sticks into her own USB port. “Thank you ma’am and here are these files that I just printed, we will need them faxed over as soon as we are all set up inside our offices, could you file them under today’s date?” she explained. “Of course I’ll grab an additional hard drive while I’m down there; there is lot of data coming through!” which we have to transmit and code out and can take us hours but I am so excited we are here on planet Marsa at last and we will be the first ones to set foot on it.                  I rushed quickly to our supply closet which was more of a room then a closet but that’s what we call it; it was located just below our command station pit down a few set of stairs. I quickly locate the file cabinet then the computer restock area I’m getting a hard drive as well as a mini body cam for me and Zen, they encourage us to record as much as we can during our time here I hope it’s okay I am taking initiative as they didn’t tell us to record anything yet.              “Lilith.” I stilled at his voice. I turned around to see William standing right behind me his look one of happiness yet something else. I almost couldn’t open my mouth when he closed the distance and took my waist and the cameras from my other hand he let go of my waist and stepped back. “Do you intend on filming something?” he asked. He was upset and I freaked out a little he sneaked in on me oh s**t. I breathed out. “I was actually hoping to start taking down video documentation from the beginning sir’ I look him in the eyes and I could see disappointment. “No we will not be documenting Marsa for the beginning months we will be documenting our progress mainly from inside our offices. Commander Fernando and I do have cameras in our suits and helmets so the good folks back home can see what we see” he smiled finally.                  “However I would appreciate it if you did not go out of your way to take initiative outside of growing your crops and the agriculture here” I couldn’t help but roll my eyes I cannot believe this guy. “What you mean I should follow the rules? And not step out of line?” I frowned. “That’s exactly what I mean. And I would appreciate you keeping your tone down I am in charge here and you have no right going out of your way to do something like video document what we are about to see out there. It will all remain a secret as you very well have already been briefed.” He stared firm.             I became so annoyed by his demeanor as if he really didn’t full on make out with me "Well I was also briefed on inappropriate behavior with other astronaut pilots during our trip and stay here, you can break the rules but I can’t?” I waited. “Yes. I am in charge of this mission and I’m also in charge of making sure no one here does anything that would break protocol and as for me and you before we start our work on I want you to know that I feel feelings towards you and yes even breaking my own rules I wanted to know if you would like to accept me as man who wants to get to know you and hopefully maybe, get to know your body.”                  His confession flattered me but I couldn’t lose sight of all this ending bad “I do not trust that we can get away with that sir” I whispered my heart beating so damn fast. He came closer to me and I was up against a crate “To you I am Will or William baby don’t you trust that I will keep things under control? That’s why you should be careful not to get caught doing things not in your daily ask logs” he smirked but he was still trying to be serious.              “So you want to get to know each other and then what? Get back to earth and start officially dating? I still don’t see that as a good idea si...Will.” I look down for just a second in time to see his hands come around me and lift me up.   Will’s POV:                 I can’t control my actions I’m still on a rush from the land and all I wanted to do was be next to this woman and for some reason I felt like I had to get to know her, especially after having a taste of those delicious lips.              “Listen I will make sure you are protected and that nothing happens to you or your career. I’m serious Lily I have connections and so does my family you will not face any jail time as long as you are by my side and that’s what I want at this moment to spend any second I can next to you. I will protect you I promise” I took her beautiful face in my hand and she sank into it “You know I knew you wanted me a while ago. You are very obvious so if anyone needs to be careful it’s you” she laughed and I cracked a big smile “Does that mean you accept my proposal and we are being bad on this planet together?” I cupped her perfectly round ass and brought her fit little body to mine and she felt like heaven.              “I accept Commander White” she smirked and I sank my face in hers to steal one more kiss “mmm” she moaned to the excitement in my pants. Once our structures are build up we can discuss in detail what will be going on between us because i cant ignore it for months while trying to work. I needed her. I love the little grind she gave me and I had to force my tongue out of her mouth. Amazing. ”C’mon we should be ready to open the door and get off 'The LeeRye' our new surroundings await and we have work to do my love"     …
